On August 18, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) proudly welcomed 131 freshmen to the Opening Ceremony of its English Language Distance Learning Courses. As distance learning rapidly gains traction in Vietnam, HaUI's initiative reflects the broader educational trend, with over 1 million online learners in the country by 2023, including more than 500,000 students pursuing undergraduate and graduate degrees.
On the evening of May 30th, the finals of the "Speak Up" English Enthusiasts Contest for Students 2024 featured an exciting competition among teams from six universities. Ultimately, the first prize was awarded to the team of the University of Languages and International Studies - Vietnam National University, Hanoi; the second prize went to the School of Foreign Languages and Tourism, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI), and the University of Transport and Communications.
The International Conference on English for Occupational Purposes (EOP) 2024 recently convened at the Hanoi University of Industry, marking a significant gathering for educators, researchers, and policymakers invested in the evolving landscape of language education.
On November 18, 2020, Mr. Jerrold J. Frank - Director of Regional English Office (RELO), the U.S. Embassy in Vietnam and Mr. Le Duong, RELO's expert, paid a working visit to Hanoi University of Industry. On behalf of HaUI, Dr. Bui Thi Ngan - Vice Rector of HaUI, Dr. Hoang Ngoc Tue - Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Language and Dr. Tran Thi Duyen - Director of the Testing & Assessment Center, welcomed the distinguished guests.
That was the affirmation of Assoc.Prof. Dr. Tran Duc Quy - Rector of Hanoi University of Industry at the Review Conference on the Project "Application of the blended learning method in non-professional English training according to career orientation” on the morning of May 28th 2020.
On January 7th, 2020, the English contest “Let’s Go” with the theme “Students with environment and anti-climate change” was took place at Hall A11, Hanoi University of Industry.
On April 25th, 2019, a delegation from Guangxi University of Science and Technology (GXUST), China led by Professor Li Dong Long - Director of International Training Department paid a working to Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI).
