KISMEC supports HaUI in developing training program of the Industrial Electronics
That is the main content of the working session between Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) and Kedah Industrial Skills and Management Development Center (KISMEC) from Malaysia. The event took place on February 14-15, as part of the project “Modernizing training laboratories for CLMV countries”.
Overview of the working session
The project “Modernizing training laboratories for CLMV countries” (CLMV stands for Cambodia - Laos - Vietnam - Myanmar) is sponsored by the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF) and the Ministry of Commerce of China (MOFCOM), and implemented by KISMEC. The overall objective of the project is to support CLMV countries in enhancing industrial electronics vocational education and training. Specifically, the project is implemented at educational institutions in the four participating countries: one university in Cambodia, one university in Laos, one university in Myanmar, and two universities in Vietnam (Hanoi University of Industry and Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry).

Dr. Kieu Xuan Thuc - Rector expressed his appreciation to Kedah Industrial Skills and Management Development Centre for their support to Hanoi University of Industry throughout the project implementation. He was pleased to share important achievements in the recent years thanks to the support of units and organizations from Japan, China and Malaysia. Dr. Kieu Xuan Thuc emphasized that Hanoi University of Industry always pays attention to training and developing high-quality human resources.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Mohd Yusuri Yusof - CEO of KISMEC provided information on the project implementation process, including some issues that need to be discussed in detail between the two sides. KISMEC hopes that the project will be completed on schedule to contribute to strengthening the cooperative relationship as well as bringing positive results for the development of both sides.
Based on the implementation of the project's terms, the two parties agreed on several contents, including: Establishing the system at Hanoi University of Industry; identifying modules to be deployed for training; preparing training documents and equipment; researching the available training equipment in HaUI's laboratory; discussing issues related to policies between KISMEC and HaUI.
Lecturers participating in the industrial electronics training course receive certificates from KISMEC.
The project " Modernizing training laboratories for CLMV countries " consists of three stages. The first stage of the project is the Common Standard Curriculum in Industrial Electronics for CLMV countries. Accordingly, KISMEC organizes a training course on specialized knowledge and skills for 20 lecturers from participating universities. This event was taken place in November 2022 in Malaysia. Hanoi University of Industry sent 05 lecturers from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering and the Vietnam-Japan Center to attend the training course.
Currently, the project is in the second stage, which is the modernization of training laboratories for CLMV countries. In this stage, the Ministry of Commerce of China (MOFCOM) will be responsible for purchasing and providing training equipment for participating universities.
The third stage of the project is the pilot training program for students from participating universities. The training course is expected to be organized from July-August 2023, and each university will select 25 students to participate in the program. After participating in the training program, students will be awarded international certificates from KISMEC."
