MOU signing ceremony between Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Vietnam Association of Certified Public Accountants (VACPA) and Hanoi University of Industry

In order to build a practical educational foundation and expand career opportunities for students majoring in Accounting & Auditing, on the morning of February 22, 2023, Dr. Kieu Xuan Thuc - Rector of Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) attended the MOU Signing Ceremony to implement CertlFR certification between Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Vietnam Association of Certified Public Accountants (VACPA) and Hanoi University of Industry.

Dr. Kieu Xuan Thuc - Rector of HaUI, Mr. Pulkit Abrol – Director, Asia Pacific, ACCA and Mr. Tran Khanh Lam - General Secretary and Vice President of VACPA signed a memorandum of understanding to deploy the CertlFR certificate

The CertIFR is a certificate in International Financial Reporting, issued by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, providing broad knowledge and standards of international financial reporting.

When obtaining the CertIFR certificate, students majoring in Accounting, Auditing and Finance will enhance their competitive advantage in applying for jobs after graduation.

According to the MOU, HaUI coordinates the online course and exam for the CertIFR Certificate; propose solutions and initiatives to help students get jobs when they graduate, strengthen connections and share expertise; Provide teaching materials and Training programs to assist instructors in teaching CertIFR; Provide learning materials for students to study and take the CertIFR exam; Coordinate to organize seminars for students to have more understanding about Accounting & Auditing.

Since 2017, ACCA has accompanied HaUI in organizing intensive courses on accounting and auditing for lecturers, as well as many competitions, extra-curricular activities, and scholarships for students.

Mr. Pulkit Abrol - Director, Asia Pacific, ACCA emphasized: “The partnership between ACCA, VACPA and universities will mark an important milestone through the integration of learning resources that provide opportunities to develop professional capacity in a practical direction for students majoring in Accounting - Finance. Besides, I believe that ACCA's international qualifications will bring global learning quality and it is a powerful “passport” that opens the door to career opportunities worldwide for students after graduation.”
