In the morning of October 4th 2013, in the 2nd floor conference room, A7 building of the Hanoi University of Industry in collaboration with the Japan International Cooperation Agency and the experts of Vietnam, Japan participating in the project for “Strengthening training of trainers functions” introduced the activities of the project to share the information to the state agency in Vietnam, Japan and vocational training departments in Vietnam.
Attending the seminar were representatives of Embassy of Japan in Vietnam, JICA, the General Department of Vocational Training - Ministry of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs, Human Resources Development Department - Ministry of Industry and Trade, Board of executive, participants in the implementation of projects at the Hanoi University of Industry and a number of vocational schools involved in the project activities.
The project for “Strengthening training of trainers functions” with main objective is to enhance the capacity of Hanoi University of Industry to transfer technologies has accumulated from 2 JICA - HaUI projects to other schools in the vocational training sector: processing machinery, electrical and electronic equipment in order to achieve the equivalent level to advanced models of Japan.
The project also aims to develop a pilot refresher training model and upgrade training qualified teachers to the Ministry of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs to improve training programs for teachers of vocational training.
Since 2000, Japan International Cooperation Agency of has supported the successful implementation of the 02 projects: Phase 1 project "Strengthening capacity building and technical workers at the Hanoi College of Technology "period 2000 - 2005; phase 2 project" Development of human resources engineering at the University of Hanoi Industrial "period from 2010 to 2013. Phase 3 project will be carried out from 2013 to 2016.
Speaking at the seminar, Dr. Tran Duc Quy - Rector emphasized that the university has and will continue to maintain operations in phase 1, phase 2, and pledged to better the work done during the period 3 to contribute improve the quality of vocational training, providing highly technical manpower for the country.
