On 21st August, 2018, Assoc. Prof.Dr. Tran Duc Quy - Rector of HaUI took part in a partnership agreement signing ceremony between VinTech Technology Development Joint Stock Company (under Vingroup) and 50 top universities in Vietnam. Also, attending the signing ceremony was Assoc.Prof.Dr. Pham Van Dong - Head of Department of Science and Technology, and Dr. Kieu Xuan Thuc - Head of Department of Academic Affairs.
Overview of the signing ceremony
According to the agreement signed, VinTech and the universities will cooperate in four areas: funding for scientific and technological research projects, exchanging experience among professors, researchers and students, knowledge teaching and sharing, providing high quality human resources. Vingroup placed orders for those universities with a commitment to employ approximately 100,000 graduates in IT within the next 10 years.
In addition, Vingroup has launched the Fund for Applied Science and Technology that sponsors teachers and students scientific projects. The fund is expected to promote research and solutions that benefit the Vietnamese community, contributing to the capacity of graduated engineers.
Hopefully, the cooperation between VinTech, Vingroup and 50 top Vietnamese universities will create a great turning point in the fields that all the parties have signed.
