Celebration of the 40th National Independence Day of the Lao PDR

On December 1st 2015, Hanoi University of Industry held a ceremony to commemorate the 40th National Independence Day of the People's Democratic Republic of Laos (December 2nd 1975 – December 2nd 2015)

Representatives of the university managing board awarded certificates of merit for Lao students who achieved outstanding academic records.

The ceremony was attended by teachers representing the university’s Board of Management, functional units and departments along with the Lao students’ Executive Committee as well as Lao students studying in the school.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice-Rector of the university Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan – represented for the university’s Board of Management to review the history of birth of Lao PDR together with the solidarity traditions between Vietnam - Laos in general, the close-knit educational tie between Hanoi University of Industry and Lao universities in particular.

Vice Rector also celebrated the achievements of Laos and affirmed that the university always respected and set its highest priority to maintain the traditional friendship with Laos. This partly contributes to the development of education and training and fostering high-quality human resources with a view to playing a part in successfully building Lao’s peace, independence, democracy, unity and prosperity.

On this occasion, to encourage the efforts of learning and training of Lao students in HaUI, the Rector decided to give awards to outstanding Lao students in the last academic year. It is hoped that this would stimulate their continuous spirit of striving and exerting efforts in academic activities, to return to build their homeland in the future.
