In the morning of September 15th, 2016, HAUI held a meeting between officials, teachers, and students attending 2016 ASEAN Skills Competition in Malaysia. Dr Pham Van Bong - HAUI Vice Rector - on behalf of HAUI board of management, had some advices to trainers and candidates before the event.

Through the reports of trainers and the direct discussion between candidates, trainers and the board of management, preparations had been basically completed. However, the issues of health, spirit, and safety should be paid great attention during the competition time, according to HAUIVice Rector Pham Van Bong. He also hoped that the candidates would show their competitive spirits to achieve the best results, bringing glory to the university and the country.
The Vietnamese delegation registered 22 skills to compete in the Competition, in which students from HAUI will cover 3 skills: CAD, Electronics, Automobile, and the Internet of Things craft demonstration. Appointed experts for this event belong to such skills as CAD, electronics, Refrigeration and Air-conditioning, IT Network System Administration, Internet of Things and observers in Automobile Industry.
The 11thAsean Skills Competition lasts from 19th to 29th September, 2016 in Malaysia Agro ExpositiongSerdang (MAEPS) Park, 43400 Serdang, Selangor. The competition will have several activities: Technical and Committee Meetings, Organizing Committee meetings, Opening Ceremony, Skills Competition from 24th to 26th September and Closing Ceremony.
