HaUI lectures and students are excited to be back at school
Hanoi University of Industry has reopened; although it has not been as vibrant as before, the atmosphere is warmer when teachers and students return to school. After a long time of online learning, staff, lecturers and students of some Faculties and units of Hanoi University of Industry have come to the school to get face-to-face learning. There is a mixed feelings of excitement, joy, and confusion among everyone in the days of return.
A couple of freshmen was a little nervous when they first set foot in campus 1 of the University. Pham Thi Thu Huyen, Truong Thanh Thuong K15 shared: This is the first time I come to campus 1 of the University, so I am very happy but also quite worried because of the complicated epidemic situation. But our teachers keep reminding us of safety regulations, and also have solutions when we become F0, F1, so going to school is also quite reassuring, we are now in a comfortable mood.

Two roommates Tran Thanh Huyen, Nguyen Khanh Huyen, Ngo Phuong Anh - students Faculty of Accounting and Auditing are eager for the first days of school: As not all students are called to study offline, it is not as exciting as before but I am very happy to meet my friends after a while. Besides, I am a little worried because of the epidemic situation with more and more infections. But when going to the school, we are always reminded to follow the 5K message by the teachers; as a result, all students are aware of wearing masks, safe distance with each other, and most of all, most of us are fully vaccinated, etc., so I also feel assure and determine to adapt to the new era. To me, being able to go to class and see each other, smile and greet each other through tight-fitting masks, is happy enough.

Nguyen Nhat Khang - Class Automation 3: Although it is really cold these days, I still go to school on time and most of my classmates attend the class. We have stayed at home for over 9 months due to Covid-19, so going to school make us feel excited and cheerful. We are glad to be able to operate machines, so we understand the lesson much better.

Having the same feelings as students, the University’s staff and lecturers are nervous when it has been more than 9 months since they met their students. Ms. Tran Thi Hong Tham - Lecturer of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering shared: After 9 months of online learning, teacher and students are now back at school with excitement; students also engage actively in the lesson. The University and the Faculty have also equipped classrooms with hand sanitizer and applied all the standard safety procedures carefully before and after class, so I and my students are very comfortable to study.

Similarly, being in charge of practical lessons at the Vietnam-Japan Center, Mr. Phan Tien Viet shared: Our teachers and students have stayed at home since April 30, so when the University and Vietnam-Japan Center have plans for students to return school, everyone feels excited. The University and the Center have always implemented epidemic prevention and control regulations such as disinfecting, following 5K message, cleaning theoretical and practical classrooms, etc., and also propagated and reminded students every day in class.

Earlier, to prepare to welcome students back to school, the University has actively reviewed the conditions of facilities, equipment, and staff to best serve teaching and learning; applied effective disinfection procedures to ensure the safety in the prevention and control of COVID-19 epidemic; had information boards available to propagate epidemic prevention and control measures. The University has also developed online teaching plans combined with face-to-face, arranging classes to ensure safety; develop scenarios and solutions to be ready to respond to epidemic situations in accordance with actual conditions. Everything is ready and adapted to the new normal!
