Hanoi University of Industry signed a cooperation agreement with Gangwon State University, Korea

On May 10, 2023, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) had a meeting to sign a cooperation agreement with Gangwon State University, Korea. The event marked a milestone for the development of extensive cooperation between the two sides.

Attending the meeting, on the side of Hanoi University of Industry, there was the presence of Dr. Kieu Xuan Thuc, Rector of HaUI; Dr. Le Viet Anh, Director of Center for International Cooperation; Dr. Tran Ngoc Duc; Vice Principal of School of Foreign Languages and Tourism (SLT), under Hanoi University of Industry and representatives of Center for Training and Development Cooperation (SLT).

On the side of Gangwon State University, Korea, there was the attendance of Mr. Kim Kwang Lae, Rector; Mr. Yan On Seok, Head of External Relations Department; Mr. Chou Kun Pyo, Head of Planning and Public Relations Department.

Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Kieu Xuan Thuc, Rector of Hanoi University of Industry introduced the history and achievements of the University in 125 years of construction and development. Mr. Thuc emphasized: Hanoi University of Industry restructured in the direction of establishing sub-schools on the basis of merging faculties of the same field. In particular, the School of Foreign Languages and Tourism is the first sub-school established to train foreign languages (Korean, Chinese, Japanese, English, ...) and majors in the field of tourism and hotel.

Based on the common points between the two training institutions and the cooperation relationship between Vietnam and Korea, Dr. Kieu Xuan Thuc, Rector of Hanoi University of Industry expressed his belief that the two sides will continue to promote cooperation, exchange and agree on the orientations for the long-term cooperation plan in the coming time.

Mr. Kim Kwang Lae, Rector of Gangwon State University, Korea expressed his deep impression on HaUI's outstanding achievements over the past time and highly appreciated the attention and sharing of the leaders of Hanoi University of Industry. Mr. Kim Kwang Lae believes that the cooperation between the two universities will grow stronger and stronger, contributing to improving the quality of training and strengthening the friendship between Vietnam and Korea.

According to the agreement on cooperation in training, scientific research, international and cultural exchange, Hanoi University of Industry and Gangwon State University (South Korea) will continue to discuss the specific cooperation contents based on the common interests of both sides.

Hanoi University of Industry and Gangwon State University, South Korea agree to cooperate to annually recruit and train necessary qualified human resources in line with the actual needs of the labor market, training high-quality human resources through modern and active educational cooperation programs, and contributing to creating a foundation for the development of the two countries.
