The “Earth Hour 2015” Campaign, launched by the Department of Industry & Commerce, the People’s Committee of Hanoi, in association with WWF and Danish Embassy in Vietnam was officially run in Hanoi University of Industry on 18/3/2015.
Dr. Tran Duc Quy, Mr. John Neilsen - the ambassador of Denmark to Vietnam and Thuy Van – Miss Vietnam Runner-up also joined the “Earth Hour 2015”
The campaign aimed to raise the awareness of climate change and energy savings worldwide.
Mrs. Bui Thi Ngan - Vice President, Mr.Trinh Quoc Vu - Head of Department of Science Technology and Energy Savings (General Department of Energy), Mr. Tran Ngoc Khanh - The university’s secretary of Youth Union and singer Dinh Manh Ninh are at the event.
So far 7 years in Vietnam, “Earth Hour” Campaign has become an event that attracted people’s interest and support all over the country. HaUI was the last destination of Earth Hour 2015’s representatives in their series of activities with students in Hanoi.
The university’s leaders took pictures with the campaign’s representatives.
Dr. Tran Duc Quy - HaUI’s President, Mrs Bui Thi Ngan - Vice President, Danish Ambassador to Viet Nam - Mr John Neilson, Mr. Trinh Quoc Vu - Head of Department of Science Technology and Energy Savings (General Department of Energy), Thuy Van – Miss Vietnam Runner-up, singers Dinh Manh Ninh and Ta Quang Thang sent meaningful messages in the meeting to HaUI students.

In addition, many enjoyable activities were organised such as “60 + HaUI” word-setting in the front yard of A11 Building, Poster Design Competition on climate change, shows of technological and environmental friendly products.
The A11 building’s hall was filled with people.
