BUILD-IT Rector Meeting
On the morning of March 3, 2022, a webinar of the BUILD-IT Rector Meeting for the period 2022-2023 was taken place.
The webinar was attended by representatives of the BUILD-IT Project, Arizona State University (ASU), and leaders of 7 universities in Vietnam: University of Science and Technology - University of Danang, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education, Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City, Lac Hong University, University of Science and Technology - National University of Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho University and Hanoi University of Industry.
BUILD-IT Rector Meeting
The workshop contains the following contents: BUILD-IT progress updates and key outcomes to date: Revisit to BUILD-IT Dashboard; BUILD-IT Playbooks and Forum; University Charter Development and Leadership Series; Industry Catalyst for Strengthening Public-Private Partnerships: How to build and sustain Public-Private Partnerships; Feedback session.
This is an opportunity for the parties to jointly recognize and re-evaluate the results achieved by the BUILD-IT Project up to now:
- Total achieved institutional accreditations: 5
- Total program accreditations since BUILD-IT Inception: 79
- Total Higher Education personnel trained through quality, curriculum and faculty development programs (person-times): 13,914
- Total industry dollars leveraged: 6,8
- Total student engagement in industry-based opportunities: 8,724
- Total Maker Innovation Space user engagements: 16,934
The success of the project was recognized by the ASU representative, and at the same time, reaffirmed its commitment to continue to support the Project in the future. Dr. Kathy Wigal - BUILD-IT Project Director also gave very positive comments to Vietnamese partner universities during the implementation of the Project. Representatives of universities in Vietnam also shared practical experiences and contributed ideas to improve cooperation in the future.
Some of the main results achieved by the BUILD-IT Project so far
Hanoi University of Industry actively participates in activities within the framework of the project, especially, with contents related to the accreditation of 05 training programs according to ABET standards. On January 20, 2022, Hanoi University of Industry officially signed a cooperation agreement to participate in the BUILD - IT project.
