The program of learning Law on Road Traffic and motorcycle riding skills for HaUI students

On May 5, 2022, Hanoi University of Industry in collaboration with the Ha Nam Department of Traffic Police and Tien Ly Honda company organized a program of learning about Law on Road Traffic and motorcycle riding skills for nearly 1,000 K16 students at the University’s Ha Nam campus.

Attending the program, on the guest side, there were Senior Lieutenant Colonel Tran Quoc Huy - Deputy Head of Traffic Police Department of Ha Nam Province; Mr. Do The Tong - Director of Tien Ly Honda Company. On the side of Hanoi University of Industry, there were Dr. Nguyen Van Thien - Vice Rector, MSc. Tran Ngoc Khanh - Head of Student Affairs Department, Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Director of Center of Communication and Public relations, Assoc.Prof.Dr.Nguyen Tien Han - Director of Center for Automotive Technology and Driver Training, MSc.Truong Thi Thanh Hoai - Secretary of the Youth Union and representatives of a number of divisions, academic advisors of faculties, training centers and nearly 1,000 K16 students at Ha Nam campus.

Speaking at the opening of the program, Dr. Nguyen Van Thien - Vice Rector of the University emphasized: The event is organized to improve the quality and effectiveness of traffic safety education among students. Dr. Nguyen Van Thien hopes that each student will form and further improve the sense of obeying the Law on Road Traffic, traffic culture, and motorcycles riding skills and will become positive propagandists for friends, family and everyone in the society.

After the opening session, 07 teams including K16 students from different training departments of the University and the School of Languages and Tourism participated in a competition about the Law on Road Traffic. The competition consists of two parts: a skit on the topic of traffic safety and a knowledge test of the Law on Road Traffic.

In the skit competition, many teams offered clear and insightful demonstrations regarding the consequences of road accidents, as well as recommendations for infractions: underage motorbike riders; drunk drivers; three or four people riding a motorcycle; driving motorcycles without helmets... Those skits which were easy to understand, remember and attract viewers could educate, raise awareness and sense of traffic law observance, traffic culture awareness of students. In the knowledge test on Road Traffic Law, many teams quickly and correctly answered all 10 questions.

At the end of the competition, the Organizing Committee awarded 02 First prizes to the Faculty of Electronics and the Faculty of Information Technology; 02 Second prizes for Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Faculty of Business Administration; 03 Third prizes for the Faculty of Automotive Technology, the Faculty of Accounting-Auditing and the School of Languages and Tourism.
