Conference of officials and employees: summarizing the 2020 - 2021 academic year and deploying the tasks of the 2021 - 2022 school year
On October 23, 2021, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) held a Conference of Officials and Employees, summarizing the 2020-2021 academic year and implementing the tasks for the 2021-2022 school year. Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Duc Quy - Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of the university and Assoc.Prof.Dr. Pham Van Dong - Chairman of the Trade Union chaired the conference.

At the conference, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Duc Quy - Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of the school reported on the implementation of the Resolution of the Conference of Officials and Employees, summarizing the 2020-2021 academic year and implementing the tasks of the school year 2021 - 2022.
Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Duc Quy - Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector emphasized: It can be said that the school year 2020-2021 is a school year with many difficulties and challenges for the whole education industry when the whole country and the world have been facing the COVID-19 pandemic. Being affected by many difficulties, but the academic year 2020-2021 HaUI has achieved many proud results, marking an important milestone in the implementation of autonomy, creating a breakthrough change in education quality.
The university continues to affirm its position and reputation, creating trust for learners and society. The number of candidates applying to the university is still one of the highest among universities in the country. In 2020, there were 107 thousand aspirations for admission to the university while that of 2021 was 145 thousand. Hanoi University of Industry has continued to develop programs according to CDIO standards, build a number of programs according to ABET standards; conduct electronic lectures to serve blended learning; teaching a number of specialized modules in English; the university’s facilities are spacious and modern, from lecture halls, laboratories, practical labs to equipment for training and research.
Scientific research activities among staff, lecturers and students achieved many important results with thousands of research works, scientific articles, hundreds of international publications, thousands of innovative initiatives. Practical applications have also brought the school reputation, academic position and economic value. Management staff and lecturers have been improved in a management capacity, professional qualifications, political theory, skills, foreign language skills, meeting the requirements of integration and development.

Especially in the context of the Covid 19 pandemic, the university has carried out a strong digital transformation, applied a comprehensive e-university system, innovated administration and blended learning method, which has helped the University Hanoi of Industry adapt quickly and effectively to reality, successfully complete school year tasks, and help students graduate on schedule. The rate of students having jobs after graduation is from 92 to 97%.

The academic year 2021 - 2022 brings many opportunities and challenges, with the goal of renovating the university governance model towards building a smart university model, oriented to 2025, Hanoi University of Industry will include 03 - 05 schools.
Hanoi University of Industry is determined to perform well 6 key tasks: (1) Continuing to improve and innovate the university governance capacity, towards the university governance 4.0; (2) Continuing to develop training programs according to international standards CDIO, complete the evaluation of 05 training programs accredited by ABET standards; (3) Promoting scientific research, publications in prestigious international scientific journals, prioritizing transferable applied research, promoting innovation and entrepreneurship; developing strong research groups associating with investment in the development of laboratories and postgraduate training;
(4) All management processes of the fields are controlled, evaluated and verified according to specific criteria and must meet standards (5) Consolidating and improving the capacity of management staff, lecturers; reviewing, building and completing the system of internal management documents and applying the law provisions on university autonomy, promoting democracy and improving university governance capacity. (6) Effectively implementing the educational work of revolutionary ideals, political ideas, ethics, lifestyle, life skills, career skills and working skills for students; providing and cultivating innovative start-up skills and raising awareness of digital transformation and digital economy for students.
Overview of the conference
On behalf of the leaders of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Vietnam National Union of Workers in Industry and Trade, Mr. Quach Van Ngoc - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam National Union of Workers in Industry and Trade congratulated the university on its achievements in the past school year: the school has performed well the prevention of COVID-19 pandemic, creating a safe working and learning environment; succeeding in enrollment, innovating training methods to adapt to the actual situation, guaranteeing and enhancing the life of officials and employees, building a solid team. In the new school year 2021-2022, he suggested that the school perform well the school year's tasks, the school union cooperates with the government to do a good job of propagandizing the policies and guidelines of the Party, the State and the University, creating solidarity throughout the system, continuing to innovate school administration.

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Duc Quy took the time to exchange and respond to the opinions and suggestions of officials and employees and the university’s development strategy in the coming time. The Rector affirmed: Solidarity and democracy have created solidarity among team members, sustainable development, contributing to building the brand and culture of Hanoi University of Industry, a solid foundation for the university's development to develop to a new level.
With the results achieved in the school year, the university has been awarded many noble awards by the Ministry: The school team won the title of Excellent Team; 06 units, 17 individuals with outstanding achievements were awarded the Certificate of Merit by the Minister of Industry and Trade; 04 individuals were awarded the title of Emulation Fighter at ministerial level; the Trade Union of Hanoi University of Industry received the Excellent Emulation Flag of Vietnam Trade Union; 02 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; 02 individuals received the Creative Labor Certificate from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
