Promoting the Potential Collaboration between LETCO Company and Fukuoka City, Japan
On the afternoon of January 31st, Dr. Nguyen Van Thien, Vice Rector and Chairman of the Council of Members of LETCO Company – under Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI), had a working session with representatives of the Fukuoka City government, Japan. The purpose of the meeting was to enhance the potential collaboration between the two parties in the fields of Tourism, Hotels, and Information Technology workforce.

During the working session, Dr. Nguyen Van Thien emphasized that LETCO Company, a part of HaUI, is actively facilitating a comprehensive training process, serving as a bridge to support students in seeking practical opportunities and employment prospects with foreign companies.
In recent years, Hanoi University of Industry has consistently received support from major Japanese partners such as JICA, Mitsubishi, Nissan, etc. With the effective investment from LETCO Company (affiliated with Hanoi University of Industry), the university has sent over 3000 students to study in Japan.
In addition to the strengths and traditions of training in mechanical, electrical, electronic, and automotive engineering, Hanoi University of Industry is highly regarded by students and society for its training in fields such as language, tourism, hotels, economics, and information technology. This represents a high-quality workforce that Fukuoka, Japan is currently seeking.

Introducing the highlights of studying abroad and internships in Japan, Mr. Nguyen Quang Trung, Director of LETCO Company, stated that in 2023, LETCO Company sent over 1,300 students and interns to the Japanese market. The workforce provided by LETCO is highly appreciated by businesses for their professional competence, sense of responsibility, and work attitude.

Expressing gratitude for the warm welcome extended by HaUI to the delegation, Mr. Toshiharu Okazaki, Director of the Global Business Attraction Bureau, Economic, Tourism & Cultural Affairs Department of the Fukuoka City Government, stated that Fukuoka is one of the most important cities on Kyushu Island, southwestern Japan. In our city, there are not many factories or industrial zones; instead, we primarily focus on the service industry. Therefore, we are actively seeking high-quality workforce in the fields of tourism, hotels, and IT engineers.

The delegation from the Fukuoka City government took the time to visit Faculty of Electronic Engineering, Faculty of Information Technology, and Vietnam-Japan Center at HaUI.
