HaUI and Siemens Forge Partnership: Signing of MOU to Develop Digital Laboratory
On January 26, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) and Siemens took a significant stride towards fostering sustainable collaboration by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This agreement outlines the commitment of both parties to enhance their partnership for the development of science and technology, particularly in the context of Industry 4.0.

One of the key elements of the MoU involves the establishment of a digital laboratory at HaUI. The purpose of this facility is to serve as a hub for advancing research and development in the realm of Industry 4.0. By integrating cutting-edge technologies into the educational environment, the university aims to prepare its students for the challenges and opportunities presented by the fourth industrial revolution.
Siemens, a global leader in automation and digitalization, will play a crucial role in this initiative. The company will collaborate with HaUI to organize workshops that focus on updating and training participants in Siemens' latest technologies. Additionally, Siemens will contribute by proposing the necessary equipment and software for Industry 4.0 training within HaUI's Digital Laboratory. The company will also extend its support to ensure the practical implementation of training activities in these state-of-the-art laboratories.

Dr. Kieu Xuan Thuc, Rector of HaUI, expressed his delight in welcoming the Siemens leadership team. He acknowledged the achievements resulting from the collaboration between the two institutions in previous years. Dr. Thuc extended his gratitude to Siemens for their ongoing commitment to working alongside Hanoi University of Industry in modernizing and updating training programs. He emphasized the importance of incorporating modern technology directly into the university experience, enabling students to familiarize themselves with the latest advancements.
For HaUI, continual improvement of the quality of training programs remains a paramount goal. Collaborating with industry leaders, such as Siemens, and updating technical equipment serve as crucial channels for enhancing the overall training quality. The recently established "Smart Factory Research Center" at HaUI's School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, built in 2022, has already yielded positive results. This center has provided students with invaluable experience in analyzing and designing monitoring and control systems, industrial control, simulation, and automated production using Industry 4.0 technologies, including the integration of the Internet of Things (IoT).

As the world undergoes rapid digital transformation, this strategic alliance positions HaUI as a leading institution at the forefront of preparing the next generation of professionals for the challenges and opportunities of the fourth industrial revolution.
