Dr. Kieu Xuan Thuc, Rector of Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI), recently emphasized the significance of fostering human resources in the Auto Repair and Maintenance Service sector, particularly focusing on working styles and attitudes. This emphasis reflects a broader initiative undertaken by HaUI, GKM Vietnam, and Top Rank, aimed at training high-quality professionals for the automobile repair and maintenance industry in Vietnam and Japan.
Overview of the meeting
The collaboration among HaUI, GKM Vietnam, and Top Rank represents a pivotal step toward nurturing a skilled workforce. The ongoing project includes a comprehensive training course titled "Human Resource Development for the Automobile Repair and Maintenance Service Industry in Vietnam and Japan". One of the key highlights of this initiative is the 10-month internship training course in Japan, currently being undertaken by five HaUI students and slated to conclude in December 2024.

Dr. Kieu Xuan Thuc's elation and confidence regarding the progress of the training course are palpable. In the era of Industry 4.0, the landscape of professional requirements has evolved beyond technical expertise to encompass proficient soft skills, a professional working style, and a positive attitude. These attributes are not only valued but considered essential for success in today's competitive job market.
The memorandum of understanding signed earlier between HaUI, GKM Vietnam, and Top Rank lays the foundation for a structured and impactful training program. Under this agreement, students majoring in automobile technology undergo an intensive curriculum comprising Japanese language training, coupled with essential knowledge and skills acquisition during six months at Hanoi University of Industry. Subsequently, they embark on a transformative 10-month practical internship in Japan, culminating in a holistic educational experience that prepares them for the rigors of the industry.

The strategic alliance between academia and industry players is instrumental in bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. By integrating international exposure, language proficiency, and industry-specific training, this initiative not only empowers individual students but also contributes significantly to elevating the overall standard of the automobile repair and maintenance service sector in Vietnam and Japan.
