Hanoi University of Industry Expands Educational Cooperation with Universities of Guangxi Province, China
On the morning of July 26, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) had a working session with representatives from the Department of Education and universities in Guangxi Province, China, to expand cooperation in training, technology transfer, scientific research, and promote exchange between faculty and students from both countries.
Overview of the meeting
In line with the strategy of internationalizing education and effectively developing international training cooperation programs, HaUI has established partnerships with many prestigious educational institutions, organizations, and research institutes from countries with leading educational systems worldwide, including China. HaUI has achieved significant results in implementing 2+2 and 3+1 joint training programs with Guangxi University of Science and Technology (China), Guilin University of Technology (China), and others.
The government of Guangxi Province places great importance on cooperation with universities in the ASEAN region, particularly with Vietnamese universities. According to statistics, Guangxi Province has 91 universities with a total of nearly 2 million students, offering a diverse range of disciplines and fields that align with modern needs and trends. Since 2011, more than 1,800 Vietnamese students have studied in Guangxi.

At the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Dong, Vice Rector of Hanoi University of Industry highlighted the significant achievements. HaUI currently has three established affiliated schools: School of Foreign Languages and Tourism, School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, and School of Economics. By 2025, HaUI plans to establish two more affiliated schools to meet new management, training, and governance model requirements.
The Vice Rector highly valued the cooperation between HaUI and Chinese universities, colleges, and enterprises. HaUI believes that today's meeting will lay a crucial foundation for more extensive cooperation in the future.
Representatives from the delegation of Guangxi Province, China, expressed their gratitude for the warm reception from HaUI and hope to gradually establish a partnership, promote lecturer and student exchanges, enhance academic and scientific research collaboration, and transfer technology in the strong fields of both sides.
