Hanoi University of Industry expands cooperation with Ming Chi University of Technology, Taiwan
On the morning of December 11, Dr. Kieu Xuan Thuc - Rector of Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) chaired a meeting with Ming Chi University of Technology (MCUT), Taiwan. Both parties agreed to collaborate on a 2 + 2 joint bachelor's degree program; develop a master's training program with scholarships; and coordinate scientific research in the fields of AI, green energy, and smart healthcare.

The similarities in development orientation of the two universities
Implementing the strategy of internationalizing education and effectively developing international joint training programs, Hanoi University of Industry has established cooperation with many educational institutions, organizations, and prestigious research institutes from countries with leading education systems worldwide. HaUI has achieved significant results in implementing the 2+2 and 3+1 joint training programs with Guangxi University of Science and Technology (China), Guilin University of Technology (China), and others.
As one of the 18 higher education institutions prioritized by the government for investment in semiconductor laboratories, with a focus on applied research and training high-quality human resources to meet the demands of the digital age, HaUI is fully aware of its responsibility in training and research activities, ensuring the effective use of state resources in semiconductor workforce training. In addition, HaUI is enhancing several training and research areas in electricity, electronics, and information technology to develop the digital economy based on science and technology and innovation.
Dr. Kieu Xuan Thuc - Rector of Hanoi University of Industry believes that with the similarities in training orientation, HaUI and MCUT will have many opportunities for long-term cooperation, promoting mutual development between the two institutions.
At the meeting, Dr. Kieu Xuan Thuc emphasized that Hanoi University of Industry and Ming Chi University of Technology are educational institutions with strengths in engineering and technology. Both universities have a strong development orientation aimed at enhancing the quality of education and research, with the goal of meeting the increasing demands of the labor market in the context of the 4.0 technology revolution and the digital age. This similarity in training and research serves as a solid foundation for opening up many long-term cooperation opportunities, fostering mutual development between the two universities.
Expanding joint bachelor’s degree training, enhancing scientific research collaboration
During the meeting, both sides agreed on several important cooperation contents:
Cooperation in 2+2 bachelor’s degree training in electronics: Students in the electronics program at Hanoi University of Industry will have the opportunity to receive dual degrees when participating in this joint training program. With 2 years of study at HaUI and 2 years at MCUT, students will be exposed to an international learning environment, enhancing their competitiveness in the electronics field.
Establishing a master’s scholarship program: Ming Chi University of Technology in Taiwan will design a master’s scholarship program for graduates with bachelor’s degrees in electronics from Hanoi University of Industry. This is a valuable opportunity that facilitates HaUI students in enhancing their professional qualifications and expanding career opportunities in an international environment.
Research collaboration in the fields of AI, green energy, and smart healthcare: The two universities will jointly research and implement projects in the areas of AI, green energy, and smart healthcare. An important goal is to establish research teams or joint research centers to increase the number of international scientific publications, while also providing practical solutions to meet the development needs of businesses.
