HaUI Aligns Career Counseling and Enrollment Advisory with Local Development Orientation

On March 9, 2025, at the Bac Ninh Career Counseling and Enrollment Advisory Festival, the Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) attracted great interest from a large number of high school students and their parents. The event was organized by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Bac Ninh Province in collaboration with the Bac Ninh Department of Education and Training to assist students in selecting career paths aligned with the province’s development trajectory.

With a legacy of 127 years, Hanoi University of Industry has firmly established itself as one of Vietnam’s leading educational institutions.HaUI has not only contributed to the country’s industrialization and modernization by supplying a highly skilled workforce but has also met the labor demands of various provinces, including Bac Ninh, one of northern Vietnam’s key economic hubs.

According to Decision No. 1589/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister approving the Bac Ninh Provincial Planning for 2021–2030, with a Vision to 2050, the province has identified seven priority sectors for development: Electronic equipment manufacturing, High-tech industries, Tourism, Logistics, Trade and commerce, IT services, Pharmaceutical manufacturing.

These sectors align with HaUI’s strengths, as the university offers 62 undergraduate programs, including 10 English-taught programs and five ABET-accredited programs, alongside various high-tech, tourism, and language studies programs tailored to meet Bac Ninh’s workforce demands.

At the event, HaUI’s lecturers and career counselors provided students and parents with comprehensive insights into academic programs and future career opportunities, emphasizing the importance of choosing fields of study aligned with labor market trends. Additionally, the event served as a platform for strengthening collaborations between HaUI, local businesses, and government agencies, enhancing training quality and increasing job and internship opportunities for students.

By integrating career counseling and enrollment advisory with Bac Ninh’s economic and industrial development strategies, HaUI demonstrates its commitment to sustainable development. The university plays a vital role in building a high-quality workforce, ready to meet the evolving demands of the job market in the digital age.
