The 5th Scientific Conference of Hanoi University of Industry
On October 30th, 2021, Hanoi University of Industry held the 5th HaUI Scientific Conference. This is an annual forum for scientists inside and outside the university to discuss and publish their scientific research results.
Attending the conference, there were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Duc Quy - Rector of the university; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Hong Quan - Chairman of the University Council; along with the teachers in the Board of Directors; Heads and deputy heads of faculties and training centers; representatives of units of the university; members of expert committees and scientists.
The plenary session of the 5th HaUI Scientific Conference
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Duc Quy emphasized: Although the complicated COVID-19 pandemic hindered many activities, scientific activities still achieved remarkable results, and the 5th HaUI Scientific Conference had initial success when attracting a large number of scientists inside and outside of the university to participate in (218 authors inside and 74 outside of the university). Some fields have a large number of scientific articles, such as Automotive Technology (17 articles), Accounting and Auditing (16 articles), Foreign Languages (14 articles), Chemical Technology (11 articles).
Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Duc Quy - Rector of the university affirmed: Scientific and technological activities are an important indicator in higher education. Those activities not only create scientific and technological products but also improve the quality of training. In addition, science and technology also contribute to the improvement of the position and ranking of higher education institutions. Especially in the process of international integration, the industrial era 4.0, scientific research plays an increasingly important role.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Duc Quy hopes that scientists will discuss and share ideas, find solutions to problems of science and technology; barriers and difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic affecting scientific research activities, in order to make appropriate proposals and suggest solutions to effectively implement scientific and technological tasks in the coming time.
Scientific and technological activities at Hanoi University of Industry are focused on: From basic research, applied research and technology transfer, intellectual property, to student scientific research, associated with human resources training. The university has always created the best conditions in terms of facilities, working environment, research environment and policy regimes for scientists participating in research.
A report at Automotive Technology Committee
Starting in October 2020, the 5th HaUI Scientific Conference has received the attention of lecturers and scientists inside and outside of the university. Overcoming obstacles caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Organizing Committee received 120 scientific reports from 292 authors in 11 fields: Mechanics, Automotive, Electrical engineer, Electronics, IT, Auditing and Accounting, Business Administration, Chemical Technology, Garment Technology & Fashion Design, Tourism and Foreign Languages. After the plenary session, the conference was divided into 8 parallel sessions for the authors to report on.
According to the overall assessment of the expert panel, the papers attending this year's conference have good quality, high feasibility and higher research potential. After the preliminary process of the subcommittees, 46 articles were selected to report at the conference and 101 were selected to be published on the Conference Proceedings.
