HaUI celebrates the 79th Anniversary of the Vietnam People's Army and the 34th National Defence Festival
In a heartfelt commemoration of the 79th anniversary of the founding of the Việt Nam People's Army and the 34th anniversary of the National Defence Festival, Hanoi University of Industry recently hosted a warm gathering to honor veterans and former soldiers who are currently working and studying at the university.
December 22, 1944, marks a historic milestone in Vietnam's history as it was the day when the Việt Nam People's Army was established. For 79 years, the army has been a symbol of strength, courage, and patriotism, defending the nation's sovereignty and ensuring the safety of its citizens. The National Defence Festival, initiated on December 22, 1989, further amplifies the importance of safeguarding the nation's security and fostering a sense of unity among the people.
Hanoi University of Industry, mindful of the invaluable contributions made by veterans and former soldiers, organized a heartfelt meeting to express gratitude and appreciation.
The meeting featured speeches from university leaders, expressing profound gratitude for the sacrifices made by the veterans and former soldiers. The commitment and dedication of veterans and former soldiers extend far beyond their military service, as evidenced by their active involvement in emulation movements, participation in social and community activities, and substantial contributions to the development of Hanoi University of Industry.
In a touching moment, members shared their reflections on the impact of having veterans and former soldiers as part of the university community. The stories of challenges overcome and lessons learned resonated throughout the gathering, fostering a deeper understanding of the sacrifices made by these heroes.
Hanoi University of Industry presented awards and certificates of recognition to the veterans and former soldiers in attendance. The awards highlighted not only their military service but also their ongoing contributions to the university and society at large.
