Preliminary Survey to serve External Evaluation of Master's Degree Programs
On June 10th, leading experts from the Center for Education Accreditation - Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-CEA) conducted a preliminary survey to evaluate the Master's degree programs at Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI).
The preliminary survey was attended by Dr. Ta Thu Hien, Director of VNU-CEA; Prof. Dr. Banh Tien Long, Former Deputy Minister of Education and Training, Head of the External Evaluation Team; and Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong, Secretary of the Evaluation Team. On the side of Hanoi University of Industry, There was Dr. Nguyen Van Thien, Vice Rector and Vice Chairman of the Self-Evaluation Council, along with members of the Self-Evaluation Council, specialized groups, and representatives from various departments and faculties of Hanoi University of Industry.
Overview of the event
The six Master's degree programs at Hanoi University of Industry evaluated this time are: Electronics Engineering; Information Systems; Business Administration; Mechatronics Engineering; Textile and Garment Technology; English Language.
Dr. Nguyen Van Thien, Vice Rector and Vice Chairman of the Self-Evaluation Council, stated that to conduct this external evaluation, Hanoi University of Industry has been implementing a self-evaluation plan since December 2023, adhering closely to the established standards. By March 2024, HaUI completed the self-evaluation, with the programs initially implementing improvement plans related to curriculum, teaching methods, and evaluation plans, meeting the general standards set by the Ministry of Education and Training.

Dr. Nguyen Van Thien emphasized: With the experience of implementing quality assessments of training programs and the goal of training elite human resources, Hanoi University of Industry is focusing on innovating the training programs. HaUI hopes that experts will help the school accurately assess the current state of the training programs, especially the master's degree programs, so that improvements and developments can be made to enhance the training quality to a higher level.
Dr. Ta Thi Thu Hien, Director of VNU-CEA, highly appreciated the thorough preparation of Hanoi University of Industry for the preliminary survey. The external evaluation team and HaUI’s leaders discussed and agreed on the content, methods, schedule, and necessary conditions for the official evaluation.

The preliminary survey concluded with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the representatives of HaUI and VNU-CEA . Accordingly, the official survey by the external evaluation team at Hanoi University of Industry is scheduled to take place from June 20th to 24th, 2024.
