Developing a New Governance Model - Steady Steps to Rise
Building on its long-standing tradition of excellence in education and research, the School of Economics was officially established on July 1, 2024. It was formed through the merger and reorganization of the Faculty of Business Management and the Faculty of Accounting - Auditing. This strategic move reflects HaUI’s commitment to enhancing its governance model, aligning with both Vietnam's realities and international trends.
The School of Economics is now the third school established under HaUI's ambitious development strategy for the period 2020-2025, with a vision towards 2030. The goal is to create five schools under the HaUI, each serving as a foundation for transformative governance and global integration.
To ensure the School of Economics thrives in the globalized context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, Dr. Kieu Xuan Thuc, Rector of HaUI, outlined several key tasks for the School:
Building a Strong Faculty: The focus will be on assembling a team of lecturers with strong academic reputations, capable of meeting the demands of internationalization.
Innovating Education: The School will proactively update its curriculum, innovate teaching methods, and develop postgraduate programs. There will be a strong emphasis on linking training with scientific research and aligning education with labor market needs to enhance the quality and effectiveness of training.
Expanding Services and Community Engagement: The School will also develop short-term training, consulting, research, and technology transfer services. It will actively engage in community service to enhance the capacity and influence of its staff, thereby increasing the School’s position and impact on society.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Hong Nga, Headmaster of the School of Economics, expressed confidence in the School’s future. With a dedicated, responsible, and sincere team, she believes that the School is well-positioned to develop a robust learning environment. This vision is in line with HaUI’s educational philosophy of "Comprehensive education for sustainable development and integration".
Connecting Resources - Ready to Integrate
