The Ministry of Education and Training Assesses the Implementation of the Higher Education Quality Improvement Initiative (2019–2025) at Hanoi University of Industry
On the afternoon of December 12, 2024, a delegation from the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) conducted a working session with Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) to assess the implementation of the Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (2019–2025).

The project aims to create a transformative and substantive improvement in the quality of training, scientific research, and technology transfer within Vietnam's higher education system to meet workforce demands. It also seeks to enhance labor quality and productivity, promote innovative entrepreneurship, and strengthen the nation's competitiveness regionally and globally.

In the report on the implementation of the initiative, Dr. Nguyễn Văn Thiện, Vice Rector of Hanoi University of Industry, outlined key aspects, including: advancing institutional autonomy and innovating higher education management aligned with effective oversight mechanisms; strengthening quality assurance measures and promoting educational quality accreditation (focusing on faculty and administrative staff, infrastructure and equipment, and quality assurance and accreditation processes); modernizing training management, curricula, and teaching methodologies; enhancing scientific research, technology transfer, and community service activities; and accelerating the internationalization of higher education.
Mr. Đặng Văn Huấn, Deputy Director-General of the Higher Education Department, Ministry of Education and Training, delivered remarks during the working session.
The MOET delegation highly commended the results achieved by Hanoi University of Industry in implementing the project. HaUI's efforts in training, scientific research, international cooperation, and other domains were recognized as being carried out rigorously and effectively, contributing significantly to the overall development of higher education in Vietnam.
Mr. Đặng Văn Huấn acknowledged and appreciated Hanoi University of Industry's dedication to achieving the project's objectives. He encouraged the university to further enhance international cooperation, improve the quality of training and research, and strengthen educational quality assurance. He also emphasized the need for comprehensive innovation across all activities to contribute to the development of a highly skilled workforce, elevate the quality of Vietnam's higher education to new heights, and meet the demands of integration in the modern era.
