Hanoi University of Industry allocates over 1 billion VND to support students whose families have been affected by Typhoon No.3
Hanoi University of Industry has allocated over 1 billion VND to support students whose families suffered severe losses due to Typhoon Yagi, aiming to help them overcome immediate challenges, mitigate some of the damage caused by the natural disaster, and stabilize their lives, with financial assistance of 1,000,000 VND per student.
In recent days, Typhoon No. 3 wreaked havoc, not only destroying homes and fields but also bringing immense pain to the families of students, including those at Hanoi University of Industry. Many families have been severely affected by the storm, facing dangers such as landslides, and the challenges ahead will take a long time to overcome.
Previously, in response to the call of the General Secretary, the President, the Prime Minister, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Vietnam Trade Union of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Education and Training, and the Vietnam Education Union, officials and employees of Hanoi University of Industry contributed over 720 million VND. HaUI donated 100 million VND to the Ministry of Education and Training and the Vietnam Education Union; 100 million VND to the Vietnam Trade Union of Industry and Trade; and provided 2 tons of rice and essential goods worth 50 million VND to the residents of Phu Van Commune, Phu Ly City, Ha Nam Province. The Youth Union of Hanoi University of Industry donated 100 hats and 500 raincoats to the Youth Union of Bac Tu Liem District and 10 million VND to the Hanoi Youth Union.
Dr. Nguyen Van Thien, Vice Rector, and Mr. Do Minh Hien, Secretary of the Youth Union, represented Hanoi University of Industry in presenting support gifts to the flood-affected residents of Phu Van Commune.
